Ethanol Plant

Siouxland Energy and Livestock

Sioux Center, IA

Interstates integrated capabilities were put to the test during a recent expansion of Siouxland Energy & Livestock Cooperative's ethanol plant in Sioux Center, IA. Interstates was part of the team that built the original plant for SELC in 2000. The expansion increases the plant's capacity from 25 million gallons to 60 million gallons per year. Interstates performed electrical design, construction, control systems, and instrumentation for the project, including hook up of over 100 motors and 300 control devices. The project began in March 2007; the expanded plant began operations in December, 2007.
